Additional Needs

At Emmanuel, small class sizes are a highly-valued means of supporting individual pupils within their classes.

We seek to help each child know they have unique and special qualities, valued by God, their family and ourselves.

Some pupils need a different level of individual support to enable their unique ability to learn. These may include pupils with language, learning or medical conditions.

We have a dedicated & welcoming support area available to our pupils of any age.

Support for pupils can range from in-class advice to teaching staff; individual tuition in literacy or mathematics skills, or providing the ‘quiet space’ to meet the needs of some pupils.

We offer specialist teaching support including assessments, reports and application to examination boards for ‘Access Arrangements’. Serving parents is important in our support process.
