Secondary Department (KS3&4)
We are privileged in being able to offer a wide age-range school, easing the transition from primary to secondary stages of learning.
The timetable draws all pupils together for parts of the school day including Assembly, break-time and, during summer, picnic lunches outdoors.
Promoting Christian values and a family atmosphere are highly prized aspects of school life at Emmanuel.
Teaching from Years 7-11 is delivered by a range of specialist subject teachers. Class work includes practical and group work.
Our weekly session, ‘Lifeline’, provides a forum for discussion of teenage issues from a biblical perspective.
Alongside academic subjects are those offering practical skills including ICT, Home Economics and Art.
P.E. and Swimming are timetabled weekly for Years 7-9.
Pupils have opportunity for quiet study in the Learning Centre and Library areas.
